What is an Inter-Library Loan
Inter-Library loans (ILLO) are the way library materials are made available from one library system to another. We ask that you please check our catalogue first for the item you would like. If we do not currently own that item, ask a staff member to request the item on Inter-Library Loan.
Inter-Library Loan Terms and Conditions
- The usual loan period is five weeks.
- Interlibrary Loan materials cannot be renewed.
- Inter-Library loans can take from 1-6 weeks to arrive.
- Loss of borrowing privileges will result if a user is consistently late with the return of their Inter-Library loans.
- If an item is damaged or lost, the lending library will determine the charges that you, the borrower, are responsible for.
- Certain restrictions apply. Materials requested must be: More than one year old for all materials requested.
- Not fragile or rare.
- In agreement with the policy of the lending library.
